“A gentle space to meet you where you are” original painting

“I’m envisioning this on a massive canvas in a public space one day where those who need it can stumble upon it, but for now this will do!

I painted this one a few weeks back to interrupt a self-criticism spiral. (Maybe you’ve encountered one before?) It worked so well that it got me dreaming about all the positive changes we’d see in our world if we cultivated– within and without– more spaces of this. Gentle acceptance of right where we each are.

I find the good and transformative things like intuition, authenticity, creativity, accountability, and inspired action are soft-spoken superstars. In spaces like this, we can actually hear them because that cacophonous shame can’t drown them out anymore.

So, thank you for stumbling upon this little gentle space to meet you where are today.
