Description
There’s a Toni Morrison quote that goes, “When a child walks in the room…do your eyes light up? That’s what they’re looking for.”
And goodness, does it hit home.
Is that not the best gift we could ever offer to anyone— the sense that one is seen, loved, and welcome?
Can we let others offer it to us, as we are? And can we offer it to ourselves as we are? (We must!!)
Can we offer it to our thoughts and feelings— even the fear and the pain—as they are?
“I love you so much. You are welcome here.”
Treat it all like a child— let your eyes light up even if they’re/you’re mid-tantrum, mid-mistake, mid-fear, mid-emotion, mid-as-is. Then let God, let Love, let the realest aspect of who we are, do the rest. Let your eyes light up and witness a miracle.
“Love never fails.” 1 Corinthians 13:8
